Garden Consulting

Our goal is to make gardening an ordinary part of everyday life for every single person.  It all begins with a desire to grow something beautiful or maybe become more sustainable. Let’s do both.

 

Step 1 ~ Request to schedule a one hour consultation by filling out an Inquiry Form. We currently serve Ulster and Dutchess County for in person consultations. You will receive a follow-up call from Deadhead Farms to confirm your time.

Step 2 ~ The consultation begins with a tour of your landscape and discussion of the best places to build your garden. If you choose to have a virtual consultation we will utilize photos, measurements and google maps to help with placement and design options.

What you will receive: 

• Comprehensive list of what to plant when and a planting calendar for New York seasons
• Ideas and planting layout specific to your space 
• Outline of soil, boxes and supplies for raised beds
• Water needs / irrigation design options
• Season extension / crop protection information and a list of organic pest management solutions

 

 We will wrap up with a discussion about your garden design options and determine what the next steps are to get you growing.  Our goal is to leave you confident in your ability to grow your own food and flowers.
